Beginning December 1, 2020, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) implemented the state’s approved hemp plan in tandem with the 2021 hemp grower registration cycle. The program is currently led by MDARD’s Industrial Hemp Program Director Gina Alessandri. Molly Mott joined the program on January 4, as the Industrial Hemp Program Specialist.
