How to Enter
Fill out the registration form linked on your entry receipt. Plan to have your products to us prior to judging which will take place on January 9, 2021.
How to Win
Enter your hemp products, pictures or nomination and a panel of seven judges will review the items submitted – and then, based on a scoring matrix, the winners will be decided. The official accounting of the judge’s scores will be tabulated by Robert F. Murray & Company, CPAs, P.C.
Any food product(s) using industrial hemp as an ingredient, or industrial hemp on its own.
Any hemp-related pictures you want to enter. There are two categories – professional and amateur. There will also be a People’s Choice Award which will be voted on during the 2021 Midwest iHemp Expo.
Personal Care Products:
Bath bombs, soaps, facial products, hair care, lotions, salves, tinctures, other related items. COA required if applicable.
Any type of pet products or toys. COA required if applicable.
This can be for an item, individual or group that should be recognized for the advancement of the hemp industry. Submit a maximum of two pages outlining the reason why you believe the entry should win the award. Pictures may also be submitted with a limit of 4. You may nominate yourself, another individual, a group, a product or a piece of equipment. COA required if applicable.
Any product made out of hemp materials, including but not limited to: clothing, shoes, purses, underwear, and/or facemasks. In this category, if it’s got hemp in it, it can be entered.
If it doesn’t fit in one of the other categories, it goes here. This is the only category where entries from outside the Midwest area are allowed to enter for a chance to win. If the item is from outside the Midwest area, it can be ANYTHING hemp related.
The Midwest area for this contest includes: Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Anyone who enters items in the appropriate category.
The winner in each category, except for the Miscellaneous category, will be for items grown, manufactured or processed in the Midwest area (Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin).
In the Photo category, there will be a People’s Choice award so any entry can win. There will be separate categories for professional photographers and amateurs.
The Miscellaneous category can be won by anyone. The hemp item submitted can be grown, processed and/or manufactured inside or outside the Midwest Area.
Winners will be revealed Saturday, January 23, 2021 during the Midwest iHemp Expo. A Zoom masquerade mask party is planned to present the winning submissions and also to congratulate the winners.

Winners in each category will receive a really cool plaque along with $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place.
Everyone who enters gets great recognition. We will display all items submitted for the competition on the Midwest iHemp Expo website as well as a listing on the Expo website with links if they are provided.
$50.00 per entry, per category entered.
$25.00 for a maximum of three photos per entry. You may submit as many entries (3 photos per entry) as you wish.
There will be an amateur and a professional category.

How much product do I supply for judging?
There will be a panel of seven judges. Please provide enough for sampling by each judge as well as one new unopened item for an auction. You decide how much to mail based on your entry.
Note: Pet food/treats may be judged on presentation vs. taste!
COA required if applicable, such as any CBD related products.
The auction for our charity cause – The Critter Barn – will take place during the Expo on January 22 & 23, 2021 which will provide you with additional exposure. Winners for the auction will also be announced at the awards ceremony/party on Saturday, January 23, 2021.
For the Innovation nomination, send a digital packet per nomination with a maximum of 4 photos. Digital entries should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
